The Tart With No Heart.

You can’t tell, despite my stunningly advanced photography skills, that the tart shell (the thing on the right) was actually permanently bent out of shape as a result of prying the brownie (the mauled chocolatey thing on the left) out of it.

Have you ever had to throw out a baking pan because you couldn’t get what was inside of it out? (I just had an uncomfortable flashback to this time, which then unfortunately reminded me about this time.)

It’s possible that I might have (maybe) used an excessive amount of force with the knife after I realized the tart pan had waged its non-stick war against me. It got to the point where I simply had to excavate the carcass of the brownie… to salvage it.. somehow. Thankfully The Husband ate his Brownie Caramel Nut Tart without commenting on my machete magic. Maybe the caramel covered the hacked and stabbed bits. Or maybe he just felt sorry for me after he found the tart pan in the garbage.
