Who Burns an Icebox Cookie?
-
I do.
It’s an oxymoron, I know: Burned Icebox Cookies.
Speaking of morons…
Let’s just say I’m getting acquainted with our new oven, and we’ve had a few disagreements.
I’ve never been the type to rotate pans in the middle of baking a batch of cookies or brownies or whatever, and now I resent that I need to become that person. But at least the oven works now and I can stop making so much damned fudge (not that there’s anything wrong with it, except for the way my jeans feel around the waist).
(The Husband got the burned batch, and others got the less burned batch, FYI.)

I’ve found that baking on stoneware is less likely to result in burned cookies than conventional metal pans. Though with stoneware, one has to remember that the cookies will keep cooking for a few minutes once out of the oven, so reducing cooking time by a minute or two is a good idea.
Ahhhh- good idea. Maybe I’ll get a couple one day- thanks for the suggestion!
