Cat in the Cupboard.
-
Sometimes I think I’m so smart, and then I’m brought back down to reality by a furry and mischievous cat with stripes.
While baking a batch of shortbread cookies (Shortbread Flowers, in particular- pretty for spring and all), I knew I had to outsmart the younger cat in the household, given that he has a thing for lettuce, butter and pretty much everything I bake (as made evident here).
Brilliantly, I hid the cooling shortbread flowers in a kitchen cupboard- a totally feline-free zone. Until it wasn’t. The sneaky animal found his way into the cookie-filled space in the nanosecond of time between me opening the door to get a plate and me turning around to answer my phone or change the Pandora station. Much to my surprise I turned around to the scene in the picture above. Six perfectly good cookies, wasted.
(Well. The Husband was served one of the cookies that I was almost [fairly] certain that Andy didn’t lick. That’s just between us.)

This was, IMHO, the best disaster yet, Jodi.
Thanks for your undying Disasters support. I will be sure to keep more coming, just to amuse you, Joan :)
